Caspersen Beach is 1000 yards, (as the crow flies) from Villa Ocala. A 20 minute bike ride will get you there up the Venetian Waterway, over the Circus bridge, and back down the west side of the Venetian Waterway to Caspersen Beach Park entrance.
Caspersen Beach is located on the Gulf side of an isolated Cay that
you can hike or bike down to reach the most isolated areas of the beach. This Cay is untouched and undeveloped. If you catch this beach on the right day, you may find complete seclusion and isolation.
Known as the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World” Caspersen Beach is first on our biking destinations, and is said to be as it was 500 years ago. This is hands down our favorite beach and always champions the feeling of “awesome” everytime we go there.
